Geyser n.5 (Volcanic Eruption)
Geyser n.5 (Volcanic Eruption) – Alberto Erosi was born in Crema on March 15, 1997. After attending the artistic high school, Alberto decided to enroll in the Fine Art Academy, where he is still studying and has the opportunity, to develop his ideas in his artistic path (read more about the artists).
The artwork is characterized by two black spots that stand out against an awkward background in light blue tones. These two spots represent geysers. Taking up the concept of a physical geyser, that is a source of boiling water that emits intermittent eruptions, here it’s translated on an emotional side. The physical geyser becomes composed of emotions: a concentrate of emotions and feelings that, in a sudden and powerful way, spring from an indefinite point.
It almost seems that these two black “towers” take away space from the background, which is instead blue. This color, representative of calm and tranquility, is however partially covered by a black veil. In addition, in different points of the artwork there are agglomerations of brush touches, light blue, white, gray and black. In this case I want to represent the fact that nothing is net. Because light blue “struggles” with black, and in this infinite war the two colors mix together, giving rise to gray, which contains in itself the characteristics of both black and light blue.
